Mans ZelmerlowMåns Petter Albert Sahlén Zelmerlöw, born 13 June 1986  in Lund, Sweden , is a Swedish host and musically active in the pop, pop and musical.


As an artist, he has participated in, among other things, Idol , Let's Dance , Song Contest and How will it sound . He has been the host for including Sommarkrysset , Melodifestivalen and Sing-along at Skansen . He is also a songwriter for several dance bands. He won the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song " Heroes "and the May 23, 2015, he won the Eurovision Song Contest -finalen with 365 points, ahead of Russia's Polina Gagarina .

Mans Zelmerlöw is the son Olle Zelmerlöw, physician, specialist in surgery, and Birgitta Sahlén , professor of speech pathology at the University of Lund . The name Zelmerlöw has a century-old history and was formed by Måns Zelmerlöws great-grandmother Selma Löf. Zelmerlöw went to a music-oriented line of Lars-Erik Larsson-school in Lund, concentrating mainly on choral singing. Already in 2002 he starred in a production of the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat , where he played one of Joseph's eleven brothers. The musical was shown on Slagthuset in Malmo .

He competed in TV4 's Idol 2005 where he finished fifth. Before he hit the big, summer, he worked at the G. Swenson's Pub in Torekov 2005. in 2006, he stood as the winner of TV 4's Let's Dance with Mary image . During the second half of 2006, he starred Danny Zuko in the musical Grease , which was set up in Malmö .

Zelmerlöw went to the final of Melodifestivalen 2007 with the song Cara Mia , who finished in third place, with the second highest number of telephone votes from viewers. He received a total of 171 points. The song then won both the Second Chance Contest and the National Finals Song Contest in 2007 and was also one of the Swedish sales charts. In 2007, he performed the song in TV programs Sing-along at Skansen and Lotta at Liseberg .

On 5 October 2007 he was the host of Lilla Melodifestivalen . He appeared simultaneously in the musical Footloose , where he played the villain Tommy. Musical premiere was November 8, 2007 at Storan in Gothenburg and it was played in Stockholm from 20 February 2008.

In 2008, he starred in Diggiloo tour together with Lasse Holm , Linda Bengtzing , Lotta Engberg , Thomas Pettersson , Molly Sanden , Nanne Grönvall , Stefan and Kim and Magnus Johansson .

He participated again in Melodifestivalen 2009 , this time with the song Hope & Glory (text: Mans Zelmerlöw, Fredrik Kempe , music: Fredrik Kempe, Henrik Wikström ), which he himself described as "grander and even more rocking than Cara Mia". From the second round (in Skelleftea February 14, 2009), he went directly to the final in Globen, where he had the lead after the juries had added their voices. After the viewers' votes awarded Zelmerlöw finished in fourth place with 144 points.

In 2009 he participated in the TV program So it shall carry with Lill Lindfors . He also appeared in Sing-along at Skansen . He was the host of Sommarkrysset directly from Grona Lund and toured with The MZW Tour, consisting of a five-piece band and four dancers. The tour started in Vasteras June 26 and ended August 15, 2009 in Kristiinankaupunki . Zelmerlöw during the year had also appeared on the Crown Princess Victoria's birthday which was broadcast on Swedish Television on 14 July 2009.

In the second race of Dansbandskampen 2009 he was a guest judge in the second round, where his songs were the evening's theme.

On 10 November 2009, it became clear that Zelmerlöw would become one of the three presenters of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. He led the program along with Dolph Lundgren and Christine Meltzer . He was also given the role of Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and guest starred in certain section in TV program Raiders of Juliet , where the musical got its lead actress, which was won by Lisette Pagler . The musical premiered on December 31 at Gota Lejon.

In connection with Dansbandskampen 2010 he wrote together a Peter Wennerbergsgatan a song about Elisha titled Every porch, the band also recorded the album This is just the beginning in 2011.  By Christmas 2010, the Zelmerlöw out solo album Christmas with Friends.

In spring 2011 Zelmerlöw played the role of Romeo in the musical Romeo & Juliet at Gota Lejon . On 23 February 2011 it was announced that he was new host for Sing-along at Skansen since his predecessor Anders Lundin decided to quit. He was appointed the Year Scanian 2011. For Christmas gave Zelmerlöw out the Christmas Dear winter .

Måns Zelmerlöws single A happy ending was released in 2012 in collaboration with the Children's Cancer . The same year, he starred in the view pane of SVT's music for the Eurovision Song Contest . Of Grandiose Society in Lund, he was appointed this year to "The year from Lund".

For the third summer in a row, he led the 2013 Sing-along at Skansen but with the final program August 13 he announced his intention to quit, and it was unknown who would come to lead sing 2014 until 20 December when Swedish Television announced that Petra Marklund selected as the new host.

Zelmerlöw participated as a songwriter in Melodifestivalen 2013 with Hello Goodbye, performed by Erik Segerstedt and Tone Damli , who went to Second Chance. In autumn 2013 he starred in a new version of the musical Ghost along with, among others Loa Falkman , Sussie Eriksson and Lena Phillips.

He released personal album Barcelona Session in February 2014, he worked for nearly two years. He describes it himself to work with the new album became like a therapy calls. "For the first time in my entire career I sort the memories, feelings, as I have just stressed over. All songs are about me. Things I experienced. Different emotions. It was difficult to write about the final stages of a relationship."

Zelmerlöw competed in Melodifestivalen 2015 with the song Heroes (written by Anton Malmberg Hard af Segerstad , Joy Deb & Linnea Deb ) with which he won, and thus got involved in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 as Sweden's representative.  Zelmerlöw won with 288 points and the largest margin of victory (150 points) to the rest of the starting field in Melodifestivalen history. In the Eurovision final May 23 Zelmerlöw won with 365 points, the third largest number of points in the competition's history.

Zelmerlöw had a relationship with singer Marie Serneholt March 2008 to the summer of 2011.

Måns has labrador dog Messi since March 2013, when the puppy was premiered during an interview on TV4's morning news -sändning.
